Drop in your brand name and (optional) industry. We'll check whether AI training data includes you, whether sentiment signals are positive, whether industry context is recognized, and whether the model would recommend you for category queries. What your score actually means.

70–100

AI-recognized

AI models recognize your brand, can describe what you do, and would mention you in category queries. Maintain by continuing to publish, building external citations, and ensuring schema markup stays current.

30–69

Partially known

AI models have heard of you but the description is thin or context is mixed. Most common cause: limited external press, weak Wikipedia presence, or sparse third-party mentions. The fixes section shows the highest-leverage signals to build.

0–29

Invisible to AI

Your brand is effectively unknown to AI training data. This is normal for newer brands and brands without consistent press / blog / podcast presence. The audit lists the specific signals worth building first to break through recognition threshold.

Brand recognition is one snapshot. Tracking how AI cites you over time is the platform.

This audit captures today's recognition state. The IntentNexus platform tracks brand citations across ChatGPT, Perplexity, Google AI, and Copilot weekly — showing trajectory, surfacing competitor mentions in your category, and generating the content that compounds your AI presence over time.

About this audit.

Why does AI sometimes describe my brand incorrectly?
AI models are trained on snapshots of public web data. If your brand changed positioning, expanded product lines, or rebranded recently, the training data may lag your current state. The fix is publishing consistent, schema-marked content that reinforces your current positioning.
Does this query the live AI engines?
Free version uses signal proxies (search results, structured data, public mentions) to estimate AI recognition. The IntentNexus platform runs live queries against ChatGPT, Perplexity, Google AI, and Copilot for measured citation rates — that is the paid feature.
What's the fastest way to improve brand recognition?
Three things compound: (1) being mentioned in industry publications and podcasts, (2) maintaining a consistent Wikipedia or Wikidata entry, (3) building structured data that defines your business unambiguously. Press takes time; schema and Wikidata can be done this week.
Do I need a Wikipedia page?
It helps but is not required. Wikidata (Wikipedia’s structured-data sister) is often easier to populate and equally signals legitimacy. AI training data ingests both. For small brands, a Wikidata entity entry is a high-leverage move.
